Quick Hallway Makeover

Some homes have these odd spaces that we don’t what really know what to make of. The client for this project had moved into a new home, with lots of spacious rooms, and this odd space that wasn’t a lounge, wasn’t an entryway, and wasn’t a dining room. It was a room with a fireplace that led to the kitchen. So essentially a transition space.

We’ve called this a transition room makeover, and have created a cozy space for lounging and reading by the fireplace that clients love spending time in.

This project was a Quick Fix but has transformed the space completely!

The creative direction we took was to stick to earth colours & materials. We've used a woven rug to be placed in front of the fireplace, together with 2 pouffes to add some interest. Modern accessories have complemented the laid back design of the sp

Log storage was a must so we've opted for a wall log storage for one of the alcoves, and have designed a custom built in shelving unit for the other alcove. While keeping the alcoves asymmetrical for a relaxed feel, we've opted for a symmetrical gall
